At Collab, giving back to the community has always been close to our hearts. Recently, we had the opportunity to take part in a special project at Hope’s Home Daycare in Regina, SK, and it’s one we won’t forget! When Grayson’s daycare (our PM Evan’s son) reached out for help with their painted river rock project, we couldn’t resist lending a hand.

About Hope’s Home Inc

For those who don’t know, Hope’s Home Daycare is Canada’s first medically inclusive child care centre. They provide necessary care for children with complex medical needs, their siblings, and typically developing children in the community – providing a place for all children to grow in a loving and supportive environment.

A Meaningful Project for The Hope’s Home Family

The idea behind the project was simple yet meaningful: newcomers at the daycare would paint a stone upon arrival and add it to a growing, colorful rock garden in their yard! It’s a beautiful way for the kids to leave their mark and feel like they’re part of something bigger. The kids and staff already love their painting activities, so this project would add even more colour and outdoor fun to their days!

A Big Thank You to Our Partners!

We teamed up with our awesome trade partners, Queen City Paving, who donated materials and handled the rock delivery and installation, and The Ultimate Deck Shop, who supplied the 4x4s and GRKs to frame the box and the process went off without a hitch. And yes, we couldn’t help but have a little fun along the way.

The response to the completed project has been amazing! Everyone at Hope’s Home loves the new addition, and they’ve already had several more rock-painting activities since it was finished. It’s a project that keeps on giving, and we’re proud to have played a part in it.

It’s always rewarding to work with such great teams, especially when the goal is to support a local non-profit like Hope’s Home. We’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with them and finding more ways to give back to the Regina community.
