Kaila Anderson

Marketing Manager, Collaborative Construction

Kaila Anderson is the Marketing Manager at Collaborative Construction, where she leads the company’s marketing strategy and works across departments on everything from client education and brand communication to internal systems and technology. Much of her role comes down to connecting the right people, information, and ideas, and making sure Collaborative’s marketing feels true to its people, its values, and the experience clients have working with the team.

About Kaila

Kaila is naturally curious and rarely satisfied with doing something a certain way simply because that’s how it’s always been done. She likes to ask questions, understand the reasoning behind things, and learn from people who know more about a subject than she does. That approach carries into her work at Collaborative, where she cares deeply about getting the details right, being honest about what the company can deliver, and creating content that’s genuinely useful, even for someone who never becomes a client.

She believes good marketing should help people understand their options, not pressure them into making a decision. That means doing the research, checking information with the people who know it best, explaining complicated topics in plain language, and thinking carefully about who might be reading. Inclusivity matters to her too, and she tries to make sure Collaborative’s content and language reflect that.

Kaila is always testing new ideas and looking for perspectives that challenge her own. She’d much rather be surrounded by people who make her think differently than be the smartest person in the room.

Experience

After graduating from Assiniboine Community College’s Interactive Media Arts program, Kaila built her career in web development and digital marketing. She began as a web developer, working in both web design and marketing agencies before moving into a broader digital marketing role inside a large equipment company. She later took the leap into entrepreneurship, building her own web design business from the ground up.

That mix of small-shop, big-agency, and in-house corporate experience has given Kaila a broad perspective on how businesses communicate, grow, and connect with the people they serve. Working directly with business owners while running her own company broadened that perspective even further, teaching her to quickly understand different audiences, ask the right questions, and adapt her approach to the people and goals in front of her.

Today, she brings that experience to Collaborative Construction as both Marketing Manager and a member of the leadership team. Her role often takes her beyond traditional marketing, giving her the opportunity to work across departments, bring the right people together, and step forward to lead when needed.

Kaila also played a key role in Build Love, a community initiative that brought together hundreds of volunteers, businesses, and community partners to complete accessible home renovations for Regina families. Her work happened largely behind the scenes, helping organize the people, tasks, communication, and systems needed to turn an ambitious idea into an actionable plan.

Having spent much of her career in industries where women have historically been underrepresented, Kaila cares deeply about helping more people see construction as an industry where they can belong and build meaningful careers. Those experiences continue to shape how she approaches communication, leadership, and her work at Collaborative Construction.
