Being a busy family that didn't want the work of finding, organizing and managing trades, we found Collab as the perfect solution. The assignment of a Project Manager, a group text and the Builder Trend app was invaluable and made communication and updates efficient and effective, and project timelines and tasks were very organized and easy to follow.
They, and the trades that they brought on, were all respectful, friendly, and had good attention to detail. They followed our designers plans to the tee and when the designer bowed out half way through the project, Collab was able to guide us through the remainder of the process.
Special thanks to Terry Hale for his excellent communication, honesty, integrity and treating our home with the care and attention like his own. This 4 month interior renovation was all encompassing and included: fully gutting/refinishing our kitchen and bathroom, interior structural wall removal and beam install, multiple new windows, all new doors/paint/trim/flooring/lighting/fixtures, chimney delete & roof patch, telepost removal, basement floor demo & re-pour, new electrical panel & sub-panel, new plumbing & sewer line to the city connection, and generally improving the functionality of our home in its existing footprint.
Derek & the crew were consummate professionals throughout and all involved trades were warm and easy to work with. Due to open and expert communication across all channels we were also able to take on parts of the project ourselves with no negative impact to our timeline of completion.

I remember Derek saying at our first meeting that he didn’t want to over promise and under deliver…having said that, him and his team went above and beyond, far exceeding our expectations!!
Our renovation was a large project that was completed in 2 phases and spanned over 11 months. We used the What’s Up app for day-to-day communication and they set up the entire project using the Builders Trend app which was invaluable (especially because we were living over an hour outside the city during the reno). Anytime of the day or night I could log in and view all the details of our reno from the financial side to timelines of the various trades as well as receiving daily updates with pictures and comments. I can’t tell you how many trips into the city this saved us! Special thanks to Shane Collinson and Terry Hale for their attention to details and meeting timelines with such finesse. They made the process absolutely stress free for us and we are forever grateful.
Derek has great energy and work ethic, and he runs a first-class operation. I can see why he is able to attract the professionals that he does. The Collaborative Construction crew and all the trades that worked on our renovation were outstanding! They were all personable, professional and the best at what they do.
