The Lawrence Drive project was a full main floor kitchen renovation focused on opening up the space and creating the largest possible island as the heart of the home. The homeowners had dreamed of a big island for over 20 years and wanted a kitchen that felt warm, airy, and instantly impressive when guests walked in.
Working closely with the design team and Collaborative Construction, the scope was carefully refined to stay within budget while preserving the core vision. Through collaborative planning, clear communication, and a function first design approach, the team delivered a highly functional, welcoming kitchen that not only met the homeowners goals but surpassed them in both feel and final impact.

OUR APPROACH
The project began with a function first design strategy focused on opening up the main floor and centering the layout around an oversized island that had been the homeowners long standing dream. The team worked collaboratively with the homeowners, designer, and general contractor to refine the scope, align on priorities, and adjust the plan as pricing realities emerged, ensuring the core vision stayed intact. Clear communication, hands on guidance, and respect for the design intent allowed the build team to seamlessly translate the finalized design package into a smooth renovation process.
As this was a lived in renovation, the team also coordinated around the homeowners two little Dachshunds, making sure they could be safely let in and out throughout the project, a small detail that reflects the care and flexibility required to complete renovations in an active home.

The completed space delivered a warm, open, and inviting kitchen that immediately creates a wow moment for guests while remaining highly practical for everyday living. The oversized island became the defining feature of the home, anchoring both function and flow across the main floor.
