PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project focused on a full bathroom renovation for homeowners who had previously worked with Collaborative Construction on a basement renovation and returned based on their positive experience. The goal was to refresh the space while solving functional challenges, including freezing plumbing along an exterior wall and inefficient use of a tight layout.
The scope included removing the old tub, installing a new tub, adding heated floors, upgrading tile throughout the floor, shower, and vanity wall, and incorporating custom shelving and storage into underutilized areas. A heavy client supplied vanity was installed, and thoughtful design details were added to elevate both form and function.

OUR APPROACH
The team took a communication first, problem solving approach, keeping the homeowners informed in near real time while work was underway and providing clear options whenever decisions needed to be made quickly. When hidden challenges emerged, including plumbing and insulation issues behind the exterior wall, the team proactively adjusted the structure, spray foamed for insulation, and explained the fixes before moving forward. Special care was taken to handle and install the extremely heavy vanity, repurpose the supplied backsplash piece into a custom shower niche, and design built in shelving for a previously awkward storage area. Throughout the project, the team focused on using every inch of the space efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.

The finished bathroom delivered a dramatic upgrade in both comfort and usability, with heated floors, refined tilework, and custom shelving that maximized storage in a small footprint. The tiling, drywall, and paintwork stood out for their precision and attention to detail, while the new layout resolved long standing freezing issues and improved overall flow.
